  • Joining Greater Europe Mission

So much has happened in the last year.  I’ld like you to meet our team.  First there is Andy and Anne Muller who we met in October of 2007 as well as some of the other GEM folks.  They are a great newly married couple called to Italy at the same time we were.  The four of us make a great team.  We balance each others strengths.  Andy’s love of soccer and fluency in Italian is a perfect fit with our vission to bring Upward Soccer to Italy.  We’ve already invited Brice and Jordan Early to help with this plan to start Upward soccer for the youth. Pray for Anne and Andy as they sift through the many details of going to the mission field.  Prayer support, financial support, family support and all the details of moving require God’s hand. What a great match for Upward Soccer Italy.  We’ll add other notes about Anne and Andy later so you can get to know them too.

  • Wow! We’ve entered the 21st Century! This is our first blog entry. Here’s some history about our call to missions in Italy:

In May 2007 we went on a family vacation to the beautiful land of Italy.  We found magnificent churches used mostly as museums. We fell in love with the people of Italy and had the chance to meet some of Joe’s family.  As we visited with people throughout central Italy it became clear that very few had a relationship with Jesus.  That’s when God began to call us to serve Him in Italy. As we answered the call, we discovered that China, Africa, and South America are all experiencing more growth in Christianity than Europe. Europe is the least evangelized continent in our world. Italy has only one Christ follower in every 110 people. This definitely got our attention.

Every devotion, every sermon, every fast and every prayer confirmed God’s call to Italy so we have accepted a position with Greater Europe Mission to serve in Italy.
